Bloody Sunday
I had to work today to make sure DST would not throw our servers into disarray. The last time this happened, we spend all day doing damage control because the patch didn't work worth a damn. This time it was pretty smooth sailing.
I tried benching inside a power rack the other day, starting at the bottom, rather than unracking the weight. The safety factor is a plus because you would have a very hard time getting pinned, you can always slide out from underneath the bar. The difficulty is tremendous though, because you don't get to store the kinetic energy from the decent. I can see why powerlifting guru's use this technique to up their max, as ones muscles have to maximally recruit to get the bar off of the pins. I have also been squatting olympic style with minimal back pain. I no longer require a belt for squats.
Did anyone go to the Helmet concert at Club 1982? (I am assuming it was the Helmet who performed the "Betty" song.) I wish I hadn't missed it, but I knew I would feel like crap at work if I had gone. I saw them live 13 years ago at the Florida Theatre and it was probably one of the best concerts I have ever been to.
Otherwise, nothing new or exciting here. Charlotte has been working on moving some things over to the new place. I am still rehabilitating my left arm and working around the injury. Between work, working out, occupational therapy for my arm, and daily errands I haven't felt like being social. The upcoming weekend will be a four day weekend for me. Perhaps I'll find some time to go out one of those days.
